"Chiasso Ocean" Abstract is an original abstract ocean painting inspired by the ever-changing reflections of light across the Australian coastline.
Layered shades of deep blue, turquoise, soft blue, white and warm ochre create a sense of movement across the surface. Expressive palette-knife marks and textured layers capture the energy of the sea, while warmer sandy tones bring a feeling of balance and connection to the coast.
Created through an intuitive process of layering, scraping and reworking acrylic paint, the painting allows earlier colours and textures to emerge through the surface. Each mark contributes to the movement and depth of the work, creating an artwork that reveals something new with each viewing.
