Burnished Earth is part of my Ocean & Earth Collection, inspired by the ever-changing meeting of Australia’s coastline, sea and sky. This piece explores the warmth and rich texture of the landscape through layered acrylic paint, expressive palette knife work and earthy tones.
Built with multiple layers of professional acrylic paint, warm ochres, burnt umber and soft neutral highlights, the painting invites the viewer to pause and find their own connection. Some may see a distant shoreline, weathered earth or the quiet glow of late afternoon light.
As this collection evolves, I find myself increasingly drawn to the natural movement of water, wind and changing light. These elements have become the visual language of my work, allowing each painting to express a sense of calm, depth and reflection.
