Prussian Sea Sienna Sands III continues my exploration of the Australian coastline, where changing light transforms the sea, sky and earth throughout the day.
Inspired by the dramatic reflections of a stormy sea, layers of rich Prussian blues, warm sienna sands and textured acrylic create movement, depth and atmosphere. Rather than depicting a literal seascape, I wanted to capture that fleeting moment when sunlight breaks through heavy clouds and the colours of the water become unexpectedly vibrant.
